A legend displays the meaning of the symbols used to represent features in a scene. Legends consist of 2D and 3D symbols in a scene with explanatory text. In Layer properties, you can turn on and off the display of a layer in the legend.
You can modify the legend by changing the visibility of layers, the symbology, and the names of the layers.
To display the layer in the legend, complete the following steps:
- Turn the Show in legend toggle button on or off to display or hide the layer in the Layers/Legend tool
. - To view the legend, click the Layers/Legend tool and click Legend.
Note:
Legend hides layers that are not in the current extent.
