You can import maps from a portal into your Knowledge Studio projects. All layers imported in a map will be read-only inside except for knowledge graph layers that reference the same knowledge graph as the project. Importing a map creates a local copy of the map inside of the Knowledge Studio project.
Note:
Knowledge Studio only supports feature layers, knowledge graph layers, and tables in imported maps. All other layers will be discarded. This will not impact the original map on portal.
- Click Add Content at the bottom of the Investigation Contents pane .
- Click View items in portal.
The Import Content dialog box appears.
You can browse, search, filter, and sort portal content to find the maps you want to import into the project.
- Select any number of maps to import.
- Click Next
- Choose how these layers will be merged:
- Express Import automatically merges all knowledge graph layers referencing the project's knowledge graph into a single knowledge graph layer for each map.
- Advanced import allows you to decide which of the knowledge graph layers referencing the project's knowledge graph the others are merged into. The layer definitions for the selected layer will be used for the knowledge graph layer in this map. Optionally, create a knowledge graph layer; all layer definitions will be discarded.
Your imported maps will appear in the Investigation Contents pane .
If the selected maps contain only one knowledge graph layer that references the project knowledge graph, your maps will appear in the Investigation Contents pane .
If any of your maps have multiple knowledge graph layers that reference the project's knowledge graph, you will need to decide how Knowledge Studio will merge these into a single knowledge graph layer. Knowledge Studio only supports one control layer for each content item that references the project's knowledge graph.
